SkyWest Airlines has ordered 19 additional Embraer E175 to support its operations for United Airlines. They will be added to the 90 E175 jets SkyWest already operates for United under a Capacity Purchase Agreement (CPA).
The value of the contract, which has been included in Embraer’s Q3 backlog, is $1.1 billion, based on list price.
“SkyWest is already the largest E175 operator in the world, and when this order is delivered we will have over 250 E175s. We look forward to continuing to improve the passenger flying experience with enhanced comfort and reliability” said Russell (Chip) Childs, the president and CEO of SkyWest Airlines.
The 70-seat aircraft will be delivered in a three-class configuration. Deliveries will begin in the fourth quarter of next year through 2026.
SkyWest Airlines operates through partnerships with United Airlines, Delta Air Lines, American Airlines and Alaska Airlines. Its current fleet of nearly 500 aircraft (as of June 30) connects passengers to 249 destinations throughout North America.
