Condor is definitely satisfied by its Airbus A330neo fleet. The German leisure airline has decided to add three new A330-900 aircraft to its fleet, with deliveries expected in 2026 and 2027.
Condor has not yet specified whether these new A330neos will be ordered directly from Airbus or if they will come from the portfolio of lessors (Avolon, for example, comes to mind).
The company already aligns 10 A330-900s in its long-haul fleet, with the first aircraft put into commercial service in December 2022 between Frankfurt and Mauritius. Condor was still expecting 8 more aircraft of the same type (6 of the first 16 units ordered deliverable by spring 2024 to replace its Boeing 767s, then two others contracted a year ago to finish renewing its fleet before the end of next year).
The three new A330-900s will therefore be used to ensure the growth of the German seasonal company, either by opening new routes or by strengthening existing ones.
As a reminder, Condor’s A330neos are arranged in a three-class configuration with 310 seats, including 30 business class seats, 64 Premium Economy seats, and 216 Economy class seats.
Condor is also expecting 41 aircraft from the Airbus A320neo family (13 A320neos and 28 A321neos) which will be gradually delivered starting next year to modernize its medium-haul fleet.
